Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite: Get Outta My Way

I was struggling with myself thinking about a long and detailed post about Aphrodite, Kylie Minogue's new album mostly produced by Stuart Price (we miss you, Stu). I've never been a huge Kylie fan, but I have to admit in these last two weeks my iTunes has been playing mostly Aphrodite and X. So I guess I'll just go with the gayest post of 2010 for this blog.

Aphrodite contains some of Kylie's future memorable songs: All The Lovers should become her opening number in all of her concerts 'till retiring do us part; Can You Feel Me In Stereo? line from Aphrodite will lead hundreds of shouting queens on the dancefloor; Cupid Boy (aka I Love New York meets Ray Of Light meets Any Electropop Song From The Last 5 Years Or Even Longer) is where Stuart probably enjoyed himself the most; Too Much was written by Kylie herself, with Scissor Sisters Jake Shears and Calvin Harris who also produced it; and even if Better Than Today sounds a lot more Scissor Sisters than Too Much, the song was actually written and produced by Nerina Pallot which apaprently is a big deal in the UK; but the real Kylie is in the forthcoming single, Get Outta My Way which needs no introductions at all.

Kylie Minogue > Get Outta My Way

Aphrodite is not exactly the best you could get from Kylie, but it's surely way better than Hard Candy, just to rub it in. Because sometimes you don't really need to choose the most popular producer at the time, you'd rather stick to the one who got you back where you belong. Kylie Minogue has probably got that better than Madonna. Hail to the Princess.
